Santa Monica Pier and 3rd Street Promenade

At the end of the 10 freeway in Los Angeles is a small seaside community called Santa Monica. The 3 main places for vistors is the beach, Santa Monica Pier and the 3rd Street Prominade. On any summer weekend it is filled with visitors. The Santa Monica pier has a carousel, various amusement rides, fancy restaurants and cart vendors, fishing areas and lots of interesting people. The crowd here is more everyday people, not the Bizarre people you might run into on Venice Beach.

Within walking distance is the 3rd Street Promenade. This a tendy place where street performers will perform amoungst boutiques and upscale restaurants. It also has many clubs and a movie theatre. The evenings here are crowded with people till midnight. This is one of the better places in LA for an evening of fun.

You can take the photo of anyone in public. If you appear in public you give implied consent. You do not need permission from the person. The reason they photograph you and send you a ticket for running a red light or that they have cameras set up for security at banks. "Publish" is a legal term for being paid or acknowledged for contributing to a magazine or other paper printed medium. Posting images to web sites is not considered "published" at this time.
