The Pacific, HBO Mini Series Premiere

I was at the event where Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks and other big names in Hollywood have attended the premiere of HBO's miniseries "The Pacific" which was held on the Grauman's Chinese Theater on Wednesday, February 24. Spielberg and Hanks who act as the miniseries producers were accompanied at the red carpet by Captain Dale Dye who works as a unit director shooting the Marines' major battles.

James Badge Dale, Joseph Mazzello and Jon Seda, the actors playing the three main characters, posed together for the waiting photographers. There were also actors who play secondary characters such as Ben Esler, Matthew Dale and Dwight Braswell.

HBO will premiere the 10-part miniseries on March 14, starting with the immediate aftermath of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.

It was a wet and drizzly night and most of the area where the actor were was covered by a clear tarp. It was very difficult to try and shoot photos and at the same time hold an umbrella. Security and event crew blocked the view to where the actors were posing for photogrpahers from entertainment programs. But I did manage to get a few of Tom Hanks and a few of the actors and actresses in the program. Not very many fans showed up. The crowd mainly consisted of people who just happened to be in the area. Of course I also had to get a few of the people that were just passing by.

Please note: Many of the images in these zip files are not posted to any of my albums Ipernity or anywhere else on the Internet.

These files range in size and quantity of JPG files. There are 2 copies of each shot. One in unfiltered less processed image, and another that has been filtered to give better skin tones and less noise. I give you the unfiltered image so those that would like to process it the way they like gives them more bytes to manipulate. These are big files, many over 2MB (not the usual 100-200k ones posted here by most). Depending on your download speed they can take between a few minutes to 1/2hr to download. Be patient at the start of the download. Do it in the background as you surf the rest of my albums!

Note: Ignore the request to be a gold member before the download. Just wait one minute, then press guest download start. It's like watching a commercial before you download the file.

Remember this download is free. It is not a trick to get you to buy or join anything.

I would like your feedback on these downloads. I put much more effort into these images to make them the highest quality I can. You can use them for any personal use you like but do not reproduce or post anywhere else without my permission first. This is a new service to provide the best quality I can for my friends and fans. I will not continue with this service if you are unhappy with this new option for HD copies.
